Hindu International (HI)

The Nepali democrats will take initiative to launch and organize a Hindu International (HI) that will outnumber the World Hindu Federation in strength. The Federation, in supporting 2/1, has shown itself a regressive force. The HI will be a progressive umbrella organization.

HI believes that it is only in a democratic, secular political framework that Hindu individuals and families can best meet their spiritual and religious needs. HI will take effective and concerted stands against human rights abuses, and social ills like casteism, sexism, and Hindu chauvinism, and will generally work towards human equality in all realms, thus is committed to a total spread of democracy worldwide. It will actively promote religious tolerance and minority rights in Hindu-majority countries so as to earn social and political capital to make possible the same for the Hindus in the Hindu-minority countries worldwide.

HI will keep all its finances and deliberations transparent.

HI will never claim to be the sole voice for all Hindus worldwide, and will work closely with any and all other organizations with similar goals. It will work to make all Hindu religious texts available online in as many different languages as possible for free, global distributions. HI will not actively seek to convert non-Hindus into Hinduism, but it will invite in anyone reaching out to become Hindu and help the religious/spiritual transformation of such individuals. HI will also provide social services when and where possible.
